A good reason to pirate games?

I like to play computer games, but whilst many are fun and good value, some aren’t that great so therefore are poor value, which is where the secondhand market comes into play. I have to wonder whether Electronic Arts are trying to get rid of the second hand market (I have no doubt they would like to), given a few issues I’ve seen over the last few months.

I’ve never been the kind of person to leave things alone, so when I didn’t receive any reply from the letter to my father, the temptation was to get on a bus/train and go knock on his door. If I had a car I would have driven there, so it’s fortunate that I don’t! :)

Why do we still have hardback books?

In this world of environmental awareness, and green issues, I question the logic in producing hardback books in the numbers that the publishing industry seem to. Is there a particular reason, other than a massive price difference, between a hardback and a paperback?

Microsoft need to cut down on the amount of Windows versions

I like dabbling with new software, even when it’s in the beta phase, so the opportunity to test the next version of Windows (called Windows 7) was too much to resist. The operating system itself is excellent even in this early stage, but it seems that Microsoft hasn’t learnt anything from the Vista debacle.
