The credit crunch is biting. Inflation is at it’s highest in years. Banks are collapsing like dominoes. Energy costs are at their highest.
Food is far more expensive than twelve months ago, in some cases prices have gone up over 50%. So how does Somerfield propose to beat the crunch?

For a long time Horncastle was relatively famous for it’s antique shops, but these have declined in recent years, and seem to have been replaced in some ways by shops that sell books. Whilst there are only three ‘true’ book shops, there are some stalls in the local antique centres that deal exclusively with books.

The only dentist in Horncastle that treats NHS patients, is Hartoch’s, and there is a rumour that he is trying to sell up.

Saturday is market day in the sunny liitle town of Horncastle (except today when it was bucketing down with rain) and that means wandering downtown, to have a look at what rubbish the local auctions are offering for sale

Sorry about the headline, but a resounding 10 to 1 vote to save Horncastle Town Hall must be seen as a victory, or must it?

The town of Horncastle goes to the polls tomorrow, to vote on whether to save and re-furbish our town hall, or sell it to developers, and spend the money elsewhere in Lincolnshire (but very probably not in Horncastle).
