It hasn’t technically been cracked, the copy protection has been emulated, but the new Will Wright game Spore is available on various torrent sites.
If I buy it legally I’m forced to register via the internet, after paying £40. If I download it via a torrent site, I can’t play online.

I wonder sometimes whether eBay is determined to destroy the very business model that has seen it rise to where it is. While people may laugh and mock about it, calling it a market for tat (or FleaBay), it gives a decent outlet for people to sell small and unwanted goods.

Sigh - it seems that surfing even big safe sites, is no longer safe. Reports abound of major sites such as Newsweek, MSNBC, Digg hosting flash based adverts that are booby trapped to take over your clipboard.
