The spam filter I was using blocked Rod from posting a comment ( ha ha ha ha ha ha ha - sorry Rod
) so I’ve switched to a new one which use a Captcha system.
If it decides that a comment you are postinng is spam, it will ask you to type in two words into a box.
Please test if you can
Currently blocks comments with more than 2 URLs, and a list of banned words.

It must have been a very sofistikated system, after all, it spotted me for what I am - a blog spammer from way back

Saw no captcha Craig
Just asked me if I wanted to post it as it continued 3 URLs and that it may require moderation
Cheers

Hmm might have to go back to the old system them.
Maybe it didn’t pop authentication because it needed to be approved, although you shouldn’t need to have you posts moderated.
Thanks for the test

if it required moderation then that would be because of the links and that fact I am a registered poster, perhaps the captcha comes in for new unmoderated posters ?
Personally I like the maths comment one I use - simple and very effective.
